In short, every project differs in length depending on needs. We begin our process by laying out a start-to-finish, detailed project timeline – projecting key milestones and deliverables. Brand identity design typically takes approximately 3 months unless other complexities are involved (sub-identities, packaging, marketing collateral, website design, etc.).
Design is a collaborative effort and requires client participation, such as critical feedback. Meeting feedback deadlines is imperative to keeping the project on track to the original projected completion date.

If your business or product is well known or has what we call “brand equity” (AKA street cred) you may simply want to refresh or rebrand your aesthetic, infuse more of your culture or brand values into the visual mark, and build a new system to sustain your brand. If you’re starting a concept from scratch, consider developing a new brand identity.
Ask yourself, is your logo dated? Are you embarrassed to show it off? Have your values and mission changed? Are you speaking to a new audience?

A logo is a visual symbol – a brand is the entire experience, the expectations around your product or service, and the promise made to your customers. Think of your brand as the master blueprint, or the foundation of your business, product or service. Brand is more than the “visual representation” – it’s the strategy, story, principles, essence, mission, vision and way you do business. More importantly, great brands evoke the feelings and value your customer associates with your overall image.
According to Design Guild of America, “a successful logo can evoke the company’s goodwill in the public mind.” This is always the goal of your logo mark. It should function as the visual shortcut to your overall brand in the consumer’s mind.
Simply put, your brand is “how you do business”, your brand “identity” speaks for itself, and your logo is the visual representation your customers and prospects see in order to consistently identify your company, product or service.
